Garden Rooms

One concept that most gardeners can embrace is the idea of the garden room. Since for most of us, our gardening is something we do in the landscaping around our homes, the garden becomes an extension of our homes.

Just like a house has rooms within that serve a different function, so too can a flower garden hold rooms that allow us to explore different gardening ideas. You might wish to create a hideaway nook with a cozy bench for two. You might want a garden room with nothing but white flowers.

One section of your garden could be designed for the rough-housing of children. It could include plants and flowers that will hold up well to children being around, but must include plenty of room for kids to play.

What type of garden rooms you have is only limited by your imagination. Some could be inspired by far away exotic locales such as a tropical or Mexican inspired garden room. Just let your imagination run wild. Some people include an area meant exclusively for outside dining - your outside dining room where you can gather with friends and have good times while enjoying good food and wine and surrounded by the lovely flowers you include.
