Water Gardens

What is more soothing than listening to the bubbling of water down a small garden waterfall in your water garden? Maybe it’s the burbling (now, is that a word or just a sound – well, it’s what I think of) of the water as it is moved around by a water fountain or a garden pump.

A water garden can create a cool oasis of relief on a hot summer’s day. It can provide a sanctuary for wildlife in the form of dragonflies and frogs, too. What’s better than coming home, relaxing in a chair next to your garden pond and watching the antics of whatever is welcome to your garden in the evening.

Not only is there the water to think of, but all the different types of plants you can grow. There are the full out, put-me-in-the-water plants like lotuses and the different types of bog plants that just like having the feet damp at the edge of the pond. All these can create lots of excitement in your gardening experience.

So take a look over at the right. Our water garden articles listed there should give you a good sampling of information about water gardening. With these and those we add as time goes by we hope you will be able to create your own water garden oasis as a respite from the day.
